“Clementine” is a 9”x12” reduction linocut Margaret made rom one of her sketches.

Margaret will guide you through the fun process of transforming a sketch into a small edition of colorful prints. We will use the reduction linocut method, printing up to three colors from a single linoleum block. Beginners are welcome as well as experienced printmakers.

$270 includes all instruction and studio supplies. $30 materials fee includes the linoleum block and 15 sheets of paper. Limited to 8.

Pray for Rain, 2023 four four-color color reduction linocuts

Cost: $200 includes some supplies.

During this weekend workshop, participants will create a color reduction linocut with up to three colors. All colors are printed from the same linoleum block which is carved (reduced) between colors leaving little material in the end.

We will cover:

Designing the image
Transferring the image onto the block
Planning each color
Registration
Carving
Printing
Blocks, tools and some ink provided. Paper available for purchase

Whether you want to sketch while you travel or draw in your own backyard, sketching is a fun and relaxing way to slow down and connect with your surroundings.

During this four-day workshop, we will learn the basics of successful sketching. Each day, we will meet at a different location. I will introduce and demonstrate a skill or two. Then you will sketch, with my support, adding new skills each day
